Video content is the king for a few years already, and this trend doesn’t seem to stop in the near future. That’s why we will continue to focus as much as possible on new video products and improve our existing themes.
Today we’ve released a major update for our VideoBox theme. The new 3.0 version brings a lot of improvements to the Live Customizer as well as new features that have been asked multiple times by our customers.
What’s new in 3.0?
- New Dark Color Scheme (available in Customizer > Color Scheme)
- New Posts Layouts (change the number of columns: 3 or 4 in Customizer > Layouts)
- New List View for Posts
- Improved Typography options in Customizer
New Dark Color Scheme
To make the theme more suitable for video websites, we’ve decided to create an additional dark color scheme. The Dark Scheme is available in 2 variations: with Orange accents and another one with Green accents. The new color scheme can be enabled from Customizer > Color Scheme.
New Post Layouts Options
A popular request that we received very often from VideoBox customers was to add an option to change the number of posts columns from 3 to 4. We’ve finally added such an option in the new version.
The new options for both Homepage and Archive pages can be found in the Customizer > Layouts. There is even a new style for posts available: List View.
The right sidebar can also be enabled or disabled separately for the front page and archives pages.
Customizer Improvements
The new 3.0 version brings significative improvements to the performance of the Live Customizer.
The Typography section has been improved with new font options and a better design.
Several new color options have been also added in the Colors section of the customizer, giving you more control when customizing the theme.
As usually, the new update is available for all existing customers, and you can download it from our Members’ Area.
